For our pre-school and pre-junior groups we comprehend the age groups' rapid physical growth and therefore shoe turnover may be in a short space of time. We recommend purchasing tap shoes without taps which can be found at Bloch or local dance stores. For specific styles we suggest Bloch's Show stopper tap shoes without taps. However, appropriate nails are required to be added to bottom of shoe.
Junior groups do require a higher heel however we highly recommend to not purchase character shoes. Shoes that we have found to be reasonably priced and have a quality footwork sound is Sansha original flamenco shoes which can be found locally at Tempo Dancewear Wetherill park, Anything Dance Campbeltown or Croydon.
For higher quality and longer lasting flamenco shoes for adults and students, spanish brands that we highly recommend are Senovilla, Bergona Cervera and Gallardo. Most of these shoes can be purchased online and require your personal foot measurements.
Alternatively second hand flamenco shoes can be purchased from the school, please see onsite teacher for sizes. We encourage existing students and parents to continue donating and reselling old shoes for incoming new students.
